Yesterday I took the opportunity to spend some time with our neighbors dogs. I can’t remember their names (will edit and update)but they are so cute and have such loving personalities. They have two girl Pomeranian and one boy German Sheppard lab mix. They rescued him from an abusive home and his poor leg didn’t heal that well.

Anyways we decided to have some fun and do a little photo shoot. Ok maybe fun for me!!!

Autumn in NW Florida brings BUTTERFLIES!

Autumn has to be my favorite season time back home. I love the changing colors of the leaves and all the beauty the three weeks of fall (if we are lucky bring). Living in Florida everything stays green and flowers still bloom. Despite what you may think it can get boring.

The past week it’s gotten colder and I think we’re moving into our next season. Therefore I can start pulling out my jeans again to wear! YIPPEE! Oh how the little things excite me…

I’ve seen more butterflies than ever this week. There are tons of them just flying around. If only I could get a little closer to them and not scare them away :0) This is my shot from this morning. I think it was a Monarch but I’m not too sure.

Solaris Dinner Cruise – Harborwalk Village

I’m so behind on my blog… sorry to all my fellow blog followers.

This is from a couple weeks ago when we purchased tickets for the Solaris dinner cruise. It was a blast! There was even a wedding on board with the rest of their guests! It felt kind of odd like we were intruding on their wedding but it was beautiful none the less.

On our way up to the yacht. Note to self, don’t wear heals when walking on a dock lol

Hurricane Ike – Okaloosa Island

It’s funny how we experienced tropical storm Fay and Hurricane Gustav and there was little to no damage YET when Hurricane Ike rolled through making landfall in Texas (much further than the other 2 storms locations) we get highway closures, flooding and gasoline shortages. Craziness – I tell you.

So the evening that Ike made landfall earlier in the day Wes convinced us girls it would be cool to go check out Okaloosa island. I’m sure glad we experienced it because it was an experience of a life time! All the wind, crashing waves, ocean smells, pink skies were a sight not to miss out on.

Double Red flags, no swimming for us except the idiots who look at the red flag as a challenge.Dummies.

Charis and the tide, I got completely soaked because I didn’t expect the tide to come up so high!

The boardwalk with the enormous waves crashing into the pier.
