Every shoot I have is always exciting but the anticipation of a cake smash session is such a delight. The little ones always have such a different reaction to the cake. Some indulge in the yummy goodness others not so much. This little gorgeous girl didn’t like how it sticked to her. She liked being clean
I thought it was adorable as she flung the icing off her feet and hands. Now she did like the taste, who doesn’t but really didn’t want to make a mess. She did anyways though.
We had all kinds of fun with this sweet one year old. After all you only get to celebrate your first birthday once. Hope her Mom & dad enjoy these as much as I did taking them. Thank you for inviting me and my gigantic set up in your home. It was a wonderful afternoon.

So gorgeous! I loved her curls and big brown eyes. She was very curious about the camera and why I was in her home snapping away.

Would it shock you to know this was her naughty smile? She was disobeying and laughing at her Mom telling her No. LOL

A couple years ago I was asked by some dear friends to shoot their brand new baby boy’s newborn portraits. At just 2 weeks, C. was the best behaved newborn I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. He slept the entire time!!! As some may know this isn’t the usual. Yes most newborns sleep a bit through their sessions but on the other end there are babies that are awake the entire time for a session too. I had no idea how easy this little dude was making it on me
I thought all newborn sessions would be that easy. Fast forward till today and I still haven’t had another newborn sleep the entire session.
It’s such a blessing to look back at this little guy’s pictures. We’ve both grown. I as an artist and he as this even more incredibly cute blue eyed little dude. So when his mom asked me to do his 2 year portraits again I jumped at the chance! Hang out with 2 of my favorite people and bring my camera?! Oh yes!
On this special day we first hit up a park in Destin Commons and had some fun playing around. The lighthouse slide seemed to be a huge hit and he loved playing peek a boo in the windows and then sliding down to see us. Then we took a much needed break and got an energy boost at tropical smoothie before we hit the beach. Needless to say neither I or this little guy wanted to leave the beach. Florida’s beaches especially Okaloosa are so gorgeous as you can see. I forgot what it was like to see the sand blowing and thinking it looks like snow!
Such a beautiful setting for a wonderful little boy. He loved playing in the sand and feeling the waves crash on his feet. Thank you so much Mrs A for letting me capture your sweet little boy. You guys hold such a dear place in my heart and I’m so thankful for our friendship throughout the past few years.
Have a wonderful week everyone!

It’s so exciting watching little ones grow. I had the pleasure of shooting C’s 6 month photos this past week and he’s changed so much since the last time we did his newborn portraits. His big brown eyes, tummy chub and most of all personality just puts me in awe. Such a doll! I would photograph him every day if I could ;0)
There’s nothing more touching to me than documenting the relationship between mother and child so early on. Passion between a mother is child is so moving. This session definitely had that emotion and so much more. She worked so hard putting together the outfits for her boy’s session and I’m so happy to see how it all turned out. Thanks M – you rock!
We saved the best for last and played “baker” for a bit. Adorable! I think he may have just set a new trend perhaps… what do you think?
