A couple years ago I was asked by some dear friends to shoot their brand new baby boy’s newborn portraits. At just 2 weeks, C. was the best behaved newborn I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. He slept the entire time!!! As some may know this isn’t the usual. Yes most newborns sleep a bit through their sessions but on the other end there are babies that are awake the entire time for a session too. I had no idea how easy this little dude was making it on me
I thought all newborn sessions would be that easy. Fast forward till today and I still haven’t had another newborn sleep the entire session.
It’s such a blessing to look back at this little guy’s pictures. We’ve both grown. I as an artist and he as this even more incredibly cute blue eyed little dude. So when his mom asked me to do his 2 year portraits again I jumped at the chance! Hang out with 2 of my favorite people and bring my camera?! Oh yes!
On this special day we first hit up a park in Destin Commons and had some fun playing around. The lighthouse slide seemed to be a huge hit and he loved playing peek a boo in the windows and then sliding down to see us. Then we took a much needed break and got an energy boost at tropical smoothie before we hit the beach. Needless to say neither I or this little guy wanted to leave the beach. Florida’s beaches especially Okaloosa are so gorgeous as you can see. I forgot what it was like to see the sand blowing and thinking it looks like snow!
Such a beautiful setting for a wonderful little boy. He loved playing in the sand and feeling the waves crash on his feet. Thank you so much Mrs A for letting me capture your sweet little boy. You guys hold such a dear place in my heart and I’m so thankful for our friendship throughout the past few years.
Have a wonderful week everyone!

I’m so grateful for being able to go back to the place we called, “home” before we moved here to Utah. It’s a beautiful little community along the panhandle of the emerald cost. Destin is MY paradise! Nothing beats the beauty of the sugar white beaches there.
I’m also very thankful to be apart of these little princesses lives. They mean the world to me and every year they get a little bit taller, more character and a whole lot more lovable when I thought that was impossible. The love that I have for these girls is incredible. Plus youngest sister was born on one of my favorite holidays, Canada Day (July 1). Isn’t that awesome, eh? hehe I sure think so.
Their “fairy grandmother’s” set the scene for the play date with the special tea set. The excitement we saw when we told them we should have a tea party was priceless. They were already dressed in their Princess gowns and before I knew it I had my camera in tow ready and just as excited to take part in this experience. Could I be a little girl again? Yes please.
I remember being a little girl in my own “Fairy Grandmother’s” backyard having a tea party with my cousins. They were the best! So being able to capture this totally took me down memory lane
Although I was never interrupted by a pup who also liked tea parties.
Hope you enjoy our little Princess afternoon tea party as much as I did. It will be another day I will never forget spent with these two. Oh to only be a little girl again, so dreamy.

The El Dorado Royale was nothing short of amazing. My husband and myself got the chance to photograph a beautiful destination wedding at the El Dorado Royale. You can check out the wedding photos and slideshow here. The all adult all -inclusive made us feel very pampered. It was obvious that all the wedding plans and details were flawless. Perfect setting for a destination wedding with all the gazebo’s along the beach. The restaurants had many fine dining options from Italian, Seafood to even fondue. Our favorite was the Italian one where we enjoyed their entrees.
Hope you enjoy just some of the photos my husband Jared and I took on our photo walk one morning. The sun wasn’t too bright rather it looked like it was about to rain. But it still provided for some beautiful photos show casing all the tropical features of this exclusive resort.

This is the Casistas side the El Dorado Royale caters to. So peaceful and charming!

One of the main pools with the pool bar and the restaurant we chose to eat breakfast every morning.

Looking down from the resort’s lobby. Beautiful!

This is the waterfall just outside the main lobby.

I heart flowers. Couldn’t resist!

One of their beautiful sunsets.

PARADISE!
