One of my favorite parts of a destination wedding is the day after session – as I call it, trash the dress! As I’ve said before the dress is never ruined but in this case our beautiful bride bought a separate wedding gown just for the session. How cool is that?! And I think we loved it equally as much as her wedding ceremony gown! The day after session is about having fun and getting some awesome wedding shots you wouldn’t normally see. You don’t worry about it getting wet or dirty just plain and simple rock it out the best you can during the session and have a blast! This session took place in the early morning on the beaches of beautiful Montego Bay, Jamaiaca at the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall Resort. We then moved on to the pools and resort grounds. The water as you can see is just stunning.

Thank you Stacie and Steven for letting us captire your special day and romantic trash the dress.
What a gorgeous summer it’s been this far. This weather has been so nice! It’s hard to believe that summer is already half over! We have gotten to go camping several times and out to visit many family and friends. Life’s been very good to us – that’s for sure! Along the journey we got to see my cousin, Samantha, get married to Brad. Their wedding was gorgeous with waves crashing onto the beach and I was lucky enough to photograph their trash the dress the day after their ceremony.
OK so her dress isn’t totally TRASHED but it did get wet. There were a few drinks spilled on it the night before so we just took it out for a washing
This lake is probably my favorite place in the world (in the summer of course). My family has been going to this lake as long as I can remember. I remember our first visits to Nesslin were just for the beach itself! My family is all about some camping and I spent many summer’s out there. I could babble on and on about memories but I just have to say how special it was to be there with my cousin celebrating one of the biggest days of her life. I loved our shoot having the golden sandy beaches and crystal clear water as a backdrop to our day after session and bridals. Thanks Samantha and Brad – hope you like the shots!
I’m so excited to share this slideshow. Destination weddings are always a favorite of mine. It takes me back to such a wonderful day in paradise. This has photos from not only the wedding ceremony and events but the trash the dress as well.
This is a first for uploading one of my slideshows to Youtube so any feedback is appreciated. Hope you all enjoy and have a fabulous week. Happy Monday!!!!
We braved the beaches of Punta Cana early sunrise for some one of a kind trash the dress portraits. “What is a trash the dress session exactly?”, you ask. Usually the day after, in this case the morning after, the bride and groom meet up with the photographer to capture a different set of wedding photos in their wedding attire. It can be anywhere from a cenote to a local fair or in this case ocean front!! We got wet, played in the sand and most of all had FUN!!! Sometimes with these types of shoots if the newlyweds are comfortable we hike up the hotness & romance factor a notch. Dreams Punta Cana’s beaches provided an awesome location for our shoot. Waves crashing, morning sunlight and beautiful models – that’s all it took…
Christine & Will thank you so much for being adventurous with us! We wish you and your family all the best!
