Mr & Mrs V. North Shore Laie Wedding – Hawaii Destination Wedding Photography

Aloha! We are beyond excited to share with you some of our favorite portraits taken from this exotic tropical Hawaii destination wedding. My husband, Jared served as my second shooter and did such a fabulous job. We woke up that morning to a beautiful blue sky and I ventured off to the Turtle Bay resort to meet up with our lovely bride to be while Jared stayed back to hang with the boys. Neither of us can say enough about these two and their awesome families. They all welcomed us with open arms and we met some amazing people. Friends to last a life time we’re sure.

Their wedding took place at the bride’s Uncle’s residence in Laie. His gardens were unbelievable! Hibiscus in every direction and tropical fruits galore including a new type of fruit I was introduced to – bread fruit. I can totally see why Tiana picked this magical setting for her vows. It was PERFECT! It was a hot and sunny afternoon filled tears, laughs, kisses and hugs to celebrate these two and their love for one another.

After their ceremony we headed out to the north shore to get some portraits taken of the newlyweds. They were so cooperative and good sports about it all. Sometimes I get these wild ideas and well… I seriously could spend all day on the beaches taking photos of people that love each other.Thank you for letting us document not only your special day but your love that you have for each other. Congratulations!

Photo Montage – Destin Weddings

Filed under Beach Wedding, Destination Weddings, Trash The Dress Day After, Weddings • Written by admin @ 11:36 am

Quite possibly my favorite part of my job besides shooting of course is putting together the photo montage. Something about going through all of  the wedding highlights and incorporating music to add some emotional feel to the imagery just speaks to my soul. Music and photography are 2 of my passions. You’ll be thanking me for pursuing my photography skills instead of singing capabilities. LOL

Samantha and Richard used probably one of my most favorite songs for their wedding; Somewhere Over The Rainbow. That song never grows old to me, after all we used it for our own destination wedding back in 2007.  Every time I hear it I’m reminded just how lucky I am to have been blessed to have found my partner and best friend through thick and thin. Hope it does the same for this gorgeous couple. The song for the day after session is a song I heard back in February at WPPI. As soon as I heard it I had to get the CD. It’s Angus and Julia for those that would like to purchase the CD.  One of the best albums in my collection this year too.

OK enough with my blabbing and off to the slideshow, enjoy :)

Day After Session & Trash The Dress – Destin Florida Weddings

Filed under Beach Wedding, Destination Weddings, Trash The Dress Day After, Weddings • Written by admin @ 1:05 pm

Oh my I have been waiting for what feels like forever to share some of these images with you all :) They totally speak not only to my heart but my soul. Along the beaches of Seaside Florida we took these two newlyweds to not only trash their dress but to hang out by Grey’s beach and get some day after romantic portraits to hopefully grace their walls of their new home.

I can not say enough about these two and how much their love for one another just amazes me. We drove out to the beach and listened to some Cee Lo Green which I’m totally hooked on now. Samantha had this beautiful sun dress that kind of reminded me of a Marilyn Monroe vintage era that we had her wear first. Then we changed her back into her gorgeous wedding gown with that sexy back. There were plenty of lookers on the beach and I’m sure a lot of them were shocked we got the dress wet. Isn’t that what dry cleaners are for? I know it sure makes for amazing pictures, wouldn’t you say?

Are you a fan on our facebook page yet? If not be sure to like us for your own chance to win a Trash The Dress session either here in Utah or Florida!! More details to come but for now like us and be in touch.
