One of my favorite parts of a destination wedding is the day after session – as I call it, trash the dress! As I’ve said before the dress is never ruined but in this case our beautiful bride bought a separate wedding gown just for the session. How cool is that?! And I think we loved it equally as much as her wedding ceremony gown! The day after session is about having fun and getting some awesome wedding shots you wouldn’t normally see. You don’t worry about it getting wet or dirty just plain and simple rock it out the best you can during the session and have a blast! This session took place in the early morning on the beaches of beautiful Montego Bay, Jamaiaca at the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall Resort. We then moved on to the pools and resort grounds. The water as you can see is just stunning.

Here are some of our favorite portraits from our most recent destination wedding in Montego Bay, Jamaica at the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall resort. Stacie is another bride whom found us through the Best Destination Wedding site! Being a former DW bride I really embrace the nature of destination weddings. Not only are you at one of most romantic islands of the world but sharing your special trip with family and close friends makes it perfect. To put it simple – It’s Paradise! Stacie & Steve were so awesome to work with and their day was beautiful indeed with bright blue skies followed by a dreamy Jamaican sunset.

Thank you so much for letting Summer and myself capture your special day. It was a wonderful day and getting to know you along your journey was a blessing! Congratulations!!!

First Birthday Bash – Utah Children Photography

You may recognize this little cutie from previous sessions. One of my favorite portraits is of him and a pickle. lol. He is one of my favorite clients and of course when his Mom asked me to photograph his first birthday I was totally in!! We had fun with balloons, cake (well sort of – see below), food, friends and of course presents!!!

5 Month Portraits Salt Lake City Utah – Ogden Utah Baby Photographer

I was so happy to photograph this little sweet heart! She was our winner from Utah’s Freash Face contest.

For this shoot we met up at our studio and took some adorable 5 month portraits for little Miss P. Then we headed over to a near by park to get some outside portraits done with her Mom & Dad. Just by spending the morning with them I could see how special this little one is. Looking into those big brown eyes, how could you not love her to pieces?!

Canadian Beach Weddings – Trash The Dress Photographer

What a gorgeous summer it’s been this far. This weather has been so nice! It’s hard to believe that summer is already half over! We have gotten to go camping several times and out to visit many family and friends. Life’s been very good to us – that’s for sure! Along the journey we got to see my cousin, Samantha, get married to Brad. Their wedding was gorgeous with waves crashing onto the beach and I was lucky enough to photograph their trash the dress the day after their ceremony.

OK so her dress isn’t totally TRASHED but it did get wet. There were a few drinks spilled on it the night before so we just took it out for a washing

This lake is probably my favorite place in the world (in the summer of course). My family has been going to this lake as long as I can remember. I remember our first visits to Nesslin were just for the beach itself! My family is all about some camping and I spent many summer’s out there. I could babble on and on about memories but I just have to say how special it was to be there with my cousin celebrating one of the biggest days of her life. I loved our shoot having the golden sandy beaches and crystal clear water as a backdrop to our day after session and bridals. Thanks Samantha and Brad – hope you like the shots!

Sweet Baby Girl – Salt Lake City Newborn Photographer

Many months ago I was asked by a dear friend to be apart of a very special shoot. This little one’s mamma gave me one of the best privileges a photographer could ask for; inviting me to shoot her daughter’s newborn portraits!!! I’ve been looking forward to not only her arrival but this shoot for months now and I finally got to meet this little angel. What a dream come true!

Every now and then I get an inquiry from a bride to be on boudoir portraits for their soon to be hubby. That was the case with this lovely lady. Miss V had her hair and make up professionally done by the talented Lyn Shelley. We not only showed a flirty side but also a very glamorous side in our 2 hour boudoir shoot. I’m hoping this was a huge success with her hubby to be Although I’m sure there weren’t any complaints. hah! Loved shooting with you V, you are one classy lady and your outfits were some of my faves!

Clearfield Family Photography – Davis County Engagement Photographer

This shoot has to be one of my favorites not only because this couple has the sweetest dog, Angel or because they are so photogenic, it’s because we’ve became friends over the past few weeks and they simply ROCK!

We met up and took some photos at the park with Angel then moved on to Antelope Island. Love that scenery this time of year! It provides for some out of the world backgrounds and best part yet they’re completely natural
